Tinychat - Group Video Chat App Reviews

This app is slow, buggy & wont join the TC rooms I usually join on my PC. The front webcam on my iphone 4 is so zoomed in that my eye fills the entire stream. Please fix this app, Tinychat

I can never be bothered to complain about anything. But this app is the purest form of concentrated frustration ever conceived. Nothing actually works. Rooms often have trouble loading (and when I say often I mean 99 out of 100 times ) and when the do load one is lucky to get some functionality. More than two persons on cam? Forget it. Want to chat but not see faces fine. You might get 10 lines before you realize nobody is replying because your messages are not getting through. Or when the do the responses dont get back to you. Jump room to room ? Well expect to have conversations in both rooms at the same time. Only the participants in both rooms will think you are crazy because you respond to questions in the chat window of the current room and your answers get delivered to the last room you visited. The only good thing about this app is the one time out of a hundred it works it works properly. And its like that first ray of sunlight after a hurricane...absolute peace and bliss.... until the Tinychat servers have a brain fart, disconnects and kicks you out of the room. This app is easily worth 1000 times what they charge providing you are a masochist and really enjoy pain and suffering.

When I bought it, the first time I used it it worked flawlessly. After that first use, no room will load. Ever. Tried multiple times over 3 days and nothing.

I cant even broadcast because the front cam on a iPod is so zoomed in. so basically in the end its a waste of money

None of the rooms are loading correctly. And app crashes. Ridiculous -.- waste of 0.99c

Why does it only work over wifi now? so stupid! Get rid of it ASAP. Also, when facing the camera to my face all I can see is a pixalated zoomed in of my nose and not being able to mute certain people sometimes the menu bar on the bottom would stack itself multiple times. Ridiculous save your dollar for a chocolate bar

The tinychat app isnt that bad. But if you have a computer you can access, with both a webcam and a mic than theres no point to buying this app. Pros: It automatically remembers the recent chat names youve made or were in. The videos of others are not as glitchy as youd think. Cons: This one is a major problem for me. When you broadcast yourself, it seems that your iPhone webcam is zoomed up on your face. Really zoomed up, like your whole webcam video is of your nose and eyes. But when you go on your computer to see how it looks, or if you use a different device and see how you come up to others, your face isnt zoomed in. It actually at a good distance. The chat only makes a noise when someone types out a message, and noise that you might miss because of the people on webcam whom are talking. In the end, I still use this app, but if I could go back I wouldnt have bought it.

I have an iPod touch 5G 64GB now with firmware 6.0.1 You added a mike and broadcast button but now it always distorts your cam and is zoomed into the max, please fix

Its a great app, aside from the fact the camera doesnt video you correctly. You have to hold your phone at least two arms lengths away so that people can see more than your eye

I want to be able to see the video feeds of my friends while Im typing text chat. As it is, its either video or text but not both because the text window pops up to take over the whole screen. Fix that, please! Ill give a better rating when you do.

Hope there is an update that fixes bug for iphone 6 and the layout is just crap this app should be redesigned thanks

Signing up dosnt work YouTube dosnt work the windows are hard to see volume dosnt work

So I originally payed for this app but now thats it free for everyone I have to put up with adds? I didnt pay so I could look at adds all day thanks

I bought this app awhile back for 99 cents and there hadnt been an update in the LONGEST time, but now theyve finally updated it and the buggyness is down, and now its free! I would like however to be exempt from ads since I did purchase the app, that would be great. Once it can of for long periods without crashing and I dont have ads itd be 5 stars

YouTube videos dont load and the box disappears after about 5 seconds.

twitter integration doesnt work at all, and i dont have facebook so basically i cant use this app. i dont want to start a tinychat account if i cant use my twitter...
